Cas bit his lower lip and looked down at their hand, his expression softening some. “Y-yes of course,” he said and leaned over to kiss him again. He gave their hand a gentle squeeze and looked down at the cake with a sort of slanted smile, his mouth forming a thin line, “B-but…it was a promise..”

Loki sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose for a moment, wishing he could make Castiel understand exactly what he wanted. But knew there was no way though, the angel was as stubborn as ever. “I know it was a promise.” He finally said before smiling slight, “Alright.”

Cas grinned some to the “singing” thing and just looked up at him lovingly. “It already came true…you’re my wish~” he winked and closed his eyes, blowing out the candle. But one thing- deep down he really wished was for the bond to happen…
He had been patient; and would wait for eternity if he had to for his lover. But if the bounding ever happened /that/ would be the best wish ever to come true.

Loki sighed, knowing what Castiel wanted. He reached over and took a hold of Cas’ hand, locking their fingers. “You know I love you Castiel, I’m willing to give you anything you want, take you anywhere you want. I’ll give up my job for you. Isn’t that enough love?” He didn’t want Castiel to regret the decision later.

Loki snorted as he handed Cas the knife to cut the cake as he takes his seat across from the human. “Pretty low standards there love. Anything else?” He wondered, looking down at the mutt to see him enjoying his treat.

He looked back at Cas curiously. If it was in his power he’d do it. “A trip somewhere maybe? Someone you’d like to meet? Anything?”

Koba made several circles before sitting down next to his bowl and barking up at his two beloved owners. His tail pounded on the floor happily and he panted with a smile. Cas smirked and reached down to scratch the wolf’s nose.
“As many as you think I deserve, but I think in my angel years I’m quite the age…” he shrugged sheepishly with a slight blush. He just wanted to /dig/ into the cake and get his present…the bonding and such..

“Alright.” Loki pulled out one candle, because he knew damned well that the other didn’t actually care about the candles. He was eying the cake like it was going to be his last meal on earth. After sticking it in the cake, he lit it with a snap.

He wasn’t sure if Cas had wanted anything big regarding a party or what not, but he’d figured that if the former angel did he’d have said something. So it would just be the two of them. He picked the cake up and placed it on the table, motioning for Cas to blow the candle out. “Did you want me to sing to you sweetheart?” Loki grinned. “And don’t forget to make a wish.”

He’d been in the kitchen all morning while Cas had been playing with the wolf pup outside. It was fairly easy to get everything done, and by the time the former angel did drag himself in, the cake Loki had baked himself, from scratch, was ready.

He grinned proudly before his creation, chocolate cake with chocolate icing. “Happy birthday sweetheart!”

Cas was rather excited to see what Loki had dragged him out to the kitchen for. The entire day the once angel had been expecting something since today /was/ his birthday. And when he saw the cake all he could do was lick his lips eagerly; CHOCOLATE!

He grasped the god into a tight embrace and kissed him deeply before picking him up and swinging him around. “Mmm~!! Thank you! It looks amazing!” he exclaimed before kissing him again and again.

Loki chuckled as he returned every kiss Cas bestowed upon him. “Alright, alright love. Sit your pretty ass down. How many candles you want?” He wondered as he pushed the former angel toward the table before going back to the cake and conjuring a box of different colored candles. “And don’t think I like him or anything, but the mutt got something too.”

He created a sort of piece of cake that the animal could eat, though there was no chocolate or real human food in it. It was already sitting in his bowl.

“So, how many candles Cas?”

The rest of the day Cas spent his time with Koba, taking treats and trying to train the pup to do as much as he could. Surprisingly he was a quick learner and was taught a few tricks; but only the simple ones like sit or paw or laydown.

After a good long day, the once angel went into the kitchen and saw the note. He lifted it and released a sad sigh. Alright- so he had business…and hopefully would be back soon. Cas turned his head a bit to see Koba curled up in his bed and smiled lightly.

He needed a nap too..

The ex angel dragged his feet to the bedroom and grabbed a pillow, falling down onto the mattress and hugging it. He nuzzled into it. “Hours and hours and I’ll always miss you,” he muttered against it.

Loki returned after having taken care of his target. He hadn’t had fun with it though, not like usual. He hated that he was in such a horrible mood that he couldn’t even enjoy his job.

The house was quiet, too quiet. Curious, and slightly worried he searched for the duo he’d left behind. He reached out to Cas’ soul, finding it at peace and he followed it, coming upon their room.

Both of them were fast asleep.

Alright, the mutt was kinda cute.

Deciding to leave the two at peace, he slipped out and went to raid the kitchen for any sweets.

“Fine! Gives me more time to train Koba~” Cas chuckled, but deep down was cursing himself into a dark tunnel. FUCK! None of that for a week…that would definitely raise Cas’ drive by probably a million. He bit Loki’s lower lip and gently pulled away and the knelt down to Koba whom was now trotting to his feet with his tail wagging.

“Let’s go play around; I want to get started on those tricks ASAP!” he exclaimed before scooping up the white pup and rushing off to play with his new friend.

Loki sighed, rubbing his forehead, reminding himself that this would make Cas happy and that was all that was important. That’s all Loki every really wanted to see in the other. But Loki didn’t want to be ignored either and it seemed that the mutt was already more important. It was a stupid thought, he knew that, but it still ate away at him.

He sighed. He was a god, damn it, he wasn’t supposed to be feeling replaced.

He straightened himself, snapping his fingers so a note would appear on the counter, explaining that he had some ‘business’ to take care of. He knew that Cas understood that. With that, he located a man who was having fun taking advantage of senior citizens and robbing them of what little money they had. With his target in mind, he snapped his fingers once again, disappearing from the house.

He knew deep down Loki felt uncomfortable to the thought of the dog running in while they were having their “romantic moments”.

“He’ll be in the room Cas, his bed is on your side of our bed.” Loki crossed his arms as he looked at the wolf. “And when the bed is shakin’ he’ll be out in the living room.” He raised an eyebrow before closing the distance to kiss Cas’ lips. “Or the bed won’t be shakin’ for a while.” He smirked.

Cas kneeled down, ignoring Loki’s suggestion and rubbed Koba’s belly with excitement. “You’re gonna swim around with me in the water, and run with me on the beach, and nap with me in beeed~” he picked up the pup and hugged him tightly, recieving “kisses” all over his face.

Loki watched as Cas showered the mutt with attention and he sighed, realizing that he wasn’t going to be seeing much attention himself for a little while. His eyes grew wide at the mention of the mutt sleeping in their bed. “He has his own bed Cas.” He pointed out, “He doesn’t need to sleep in ours.”

Cas hummed happily and kissed Loki one last time, gently rubbing their noses together. “I promise I’ll train Koba as best as I can~ You won’t regret a single thing!” he exclaimed while hugging the god tightly and nearly lifting him off his feet.
Koba barked happily and ran around in a sort of small circle then sat down and gave another small yip. It was almost like he completely understood what the two were saying. At least there was some hint of intelligence in the canine.

Loki ‘oofed’ as Cas’ hug practically knocked all the air out of him. From over the angel’s shoulder he glared at the mutt happily running around but said nothing about it. Once he was let go of he crossed his arms. “I swear Cas. He steps out of place once and that’s it.” He glanced at the animal again before looking at the angel. “You can have a cat or something. And I mean a domesticated one, not a wild lion or something.”
