Cas nodded slightly and straightened himself, still getting support from Loki. “They’re known to suck your souls dry if they must,” he muttered, his blue eyes staring into the hazelnut brown pairs; “How do we kill her?”

Loki flicked his hand toward the door, opening it for them.  “That would explain it.  You’re not going near her.  I will take care of it.” He promised, intending to Lead Cas out of the castle.

Cas pursed his lips into a pout. “Just because I got attacked doesn’t mean I can’t fight back,” he huffed. The once angel could be strong too and defend himself. He could be independent… Cas straightened himself and moved his way from Loki’s support to show he was really okay.

“That wasn’t what I-” He cut himself off with a sigh.  He knew Cas could take care of himself but Loki was over protective, he couldn’t help it.  If anything were to ever happen to the human he would be devastated. He smiled, “Alright love, I’ll let you do your thing.” He promised.

“I don’t even think she’s a ghost!” Cas’ voice broke a bit revealing his anxiety, “I think she’s a banshee!”

The woman growled lowly and blew through the two of them, vanishing into another room. Who would’ve thought the Ross Castle would be polluted with something dark. Cas felt a little weak and leaned against Loki; “I guess only conclusion is to kill her…?”

“By the sounds of her god-awful voice I’d have to agree.” Loki closed his eyes as she blew passed them, the air cold and carrying a forboding feel to it.

He supported Cas when the former angel sagged against him.  “If we have to, then we will.  Are you alright love?”

The woman’s eyes flicked up to the ex-angel and as soon as she did the secret passage shut…

The woman simply snorted and screamed to the top of her lungs, a huge gust of wind blowing at the two. Cas folded his arms around the both of them, holding Loki close and hiding his face into his neck. The gust slowed then stopped and Cas moved his wing a little to peek. 

Maybe…that wasn’t a ghost… “I’ve heard of those monsters before,” the ex angel swallowed hard and nuzzled more into his god’s neck. 

Loki pet Cas’ hair, humming in agreement.  “What do you wanna do Cas?  We can leave her here.” He glared at the creature.  “You don’t just scare the one you want help from then expect them to still help you.” He told her before turning to Cas.  “It’s completely up to you.” He promised.

The woman’s eyes flicked up to the ex-angel and as soon as she did the secret passage shut hastily. She rose to her feet with a dark expression on her face; angered to the feeling she had been lied to. Cas began to feel a bit uncomfortable, stepping back until his back was pressed up against Loki.

Loki wrapped a protective arm around the angel as he pressed against him.  The god, who could have given what this ghost wanted had he the inclination too, glared at the ghost for scaring his lover.

“He’s not an angel anymore.  The wings are simple magic.  You want to get angry you get angry at me.” He directed at the ghost, moving to step in front of Cas.

Cas jumped lightly and then relaxed quickly, hoping he didn’t scare the spirit away. “No..I don’t see anything but I see that,” he pointed to the block as it got on one corner and began to spin around.

The Victorian ghost looked up at Loki, her pale green eyes telling stories of her sorrows. She whispered softly, “Is the angel going to take me to heaven?” She thought Castiel was going to take her to the light.

Loki realized what had gained the ghost’s attention and it was the wings.  He looked at her for a moment before speaking to Cas, never taking his eyes off the form.  “She thinks you’re still an angel.” He said quietly, “She wants to know if you’re going to take her to Heaven.”

The Victorian woman knelt down to the toys and tossed the block around a bit on the floor. Cas was completely astonished and he still couldn’t see her. He wanted to scream and run, but instead froze and just watched…

“L-Loki..a-are you seeing th-that?” he asked in a sort of whisper as if trying not to scare the ghost away.

“I see it babe.”  He promised as he put a gentle hand on the winged form’s back.  “You can’t see her?”

Cas’ light moved around the room miscellaneously, his eyes locked and making sure there was nothing creeping. But as he moved it, a shadow crossed and bolted into the next room. Cas’ wings flickered and he followed after quickly, his walk into a run. 

“What the hell was that?” he stopped as he was led into a different room where child’s toys were spread all over the floor. It was like a playroom or something.  

Loki watched as the ghost moved, darting in front of Cas and actually drawing his attention.  His angel took off at a run.  The god followed curious as to see where the ghost had led them and he was really wanting to know why.  This was a well-known castle and had been visited by many psychics and mediums.  Why had this ghost chosen Cas?

Loki peered into the room from over Cas’ shoulder and spotted the toys and the woman standing opposite them in the room.

Cas flashed his light to the direction Loki was pointing and didn’t see the hidden doorway. He took a few steps forward then lunged back as a book slipped down and it moved aside. His head turned to look and see who did it, but he couldn’t see the Victorian woman standing…

Cas’ pointer poked it back into place and watched the door slide back into place. He pulled it back out and tried to take it from the slot, but nothing budged. People had odd ways of making secret passages. Cas glanced over his shoulders to Loki and shrugged and continued his way through the doors. 

Long did he know the Victorian woman was following. It was like she could sense or know that Castiel could help her; maybe she was a guide to the secrets of Ross Castle. 

Loki stayed a few steps behind since this ghost had pushed her way between them.  He stayed extra alert though, just in case something was hiding under his radar and wanting to hurt Cas.

It was a little annoying to have to play nice with a ghost, but Loki did so quietly so as not to intrude on the hunt for Cas.
